i want to portray motion and passion in this piece. aside from the "atmosphere series" i will be starting this winter....this piece will be the starting set for another series that will be solely based upon improvising. well...then again, when isn't my work improvised?

hello guys!
i have been having trouble with my scanner, but i think i shall just take pictures of my art work and post them online, you guys don't mind when i take pictures of my process right? okay, well. i'll say when they aren't finished.

here is what i've been working on, just a flyer for my church:

Artist’s Statement

“But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.”
-Numbers 14:21

The undeniable truth is that this world was not made on accident and that it was not formed to be taken for granted. I want to analyze the splendor of the world in full detail. Nature is why I became an artist. I have this desire to portray the details of things we pass by everyday. There is something about a plant you see one day that will never be the same the next. The atmosphere that it’s in will change it and it will bud, blossom, or wither at such a pace that we as busy bodies can’t stay to watch the whole transformation.

So for all the times we do remember, we should be watchful and vigilant to our blessed surroundings (set for a purpose), or we’d miss out on the complex designs of such life. These pieces are a moment in time that’s been imprinted in my cluttered mind; the eloquence of the Designer’s hands.

I paint because of the innate instinct of human nature to share stories. I want to share the story of God and all His creation, minuscule or grand. Success to me is to place my audience in a state of awe that I feel when life’s ordinary walks cross paths with nature’s extra-ordinaries. And to capture such a particle of life through all our senses makes the process all the more spiritual. I’m just a mere tool with limited artistry compared to the original creator Himself.
